Health & Care

Our health services are focused to achieve the Pakistan Government’s vision to improve the health of all Pakistanis, particularly women and children, through universal access to affordable quality essential health services, and delivered through a resilient and responsive health system, ready to attain Sustainable Development Goals and fulfill its other global health responsibilities. Specifically, we work for Primary Health, Communicable diseases, maternal health issues, PSS, Nutrition, Awareness Raising, and Capacity Building of Government Health Facilities.

There is now an established and increasing double burden of diseases including noncommunicable diseases, mental health, and injuries as well as communicable and infectious diseases such as TB, HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C. Inadequate infrastructure and standards along with the poor quality of services have shaken the trust of the public, resulting in hardly 20% population utilizing the first level care in the public sector. Progress has been constrained by fragmented delivery of services, inadequate resource commitment to preventive and promotive care, human resource imbalance, and lack of skill mix.  Inequitable access, urban-rural disparities, lack of regulation of the private sector, and non-conformity of essential services packages have made the healthcare delivery being non -responsive.
